Naturjuwel Stappitzer See

The Stappitzer See is located in the Mallnitz Seebachtal in the outer zone of the Hohe Tauern National Park and can be easily reached from the Ankogel Bergbahnen parking lot in about 15 minutes. The idyllically situated lake serves as a resting place for various species of migratory birds. Information facilities and an observation station of the Hohe Tauern National Park bring you closer to the natural experience. On benches, you can enjoy the unique view or hike further along the Seebachtal nature trail to the Schwussner Hütte. In winter, the Seebachtal shows itself from a completely different side - deeply snow-covered - where you can enjoy the cross-country ski trails and winter hiking paths.
