NATUR - DENKMAL

The beech tree is owned by the local forest owner Mr. Tomandl, Stadl No. 26, 4090 Engelhartszell. The beech "Buche" was declared a NATURAL MONUMENT in 2013 and is approx. 200 - 210 years old, measures approx. 9 solid cubic meters, is approx. 37 long and weighs approx. 22 tons. It stands directly on the "DONAUSTEIG" or on the hiking trail from TOKU Waldkirchen-Wesenufer between Graben and Erledt. The beech can be reached via the parallel hiking trails "Panorama-Wesen No. 92 and the Donausteig between Graben and Erledt. Starting point: Kürmaier-Kreuz parking lot (directly next to the Wesen-Landesstr.).
