Natmessnig Krippe

The Natmessnig Krippe is a genuine "Ebenseer landscape nativity scene" of 13 m2. This inherited, over 100-year-old Ebensee landscape nativity scene came to Altmünster through marriage. With approximately 500 figures and houses, it represents the nativity scene with the most figures in Altmünster. The local landscape is brought to life by Alm (mountain pasture), hunting, and everyday scenes. This Ebensee landscape nativity scene features the indispensable region-typical figures such as the "Lampötraga" and "Vada lass mi a mitgehn". Much is reminiscent of the Schwanthaler nativity scene. But also events that stirred people found their way into the nativity world, such as the figure of the "Huss, geh‘ Melag".
