The Museum Moderner Kunst Kärnten (MMKK) is an institution of the Province of Carinthia and is dedicated to the collection, preservation, research, documentation and mediation as well as the general promotion of modern and current contemporary visual arts. On approximately 1000 m² of state-of-the-art adapted exhibition space, both young and already established national and international artistic positions are presented in solo and thematic exhibitions. The Kunstraum Burgkapelle is additionally available as a venue for experimental artistic projects and installations. In the arcade on the first floor in the inner courtyard of the castle, objects and sculptures from the collection are on display in the form of a permanent exhibition.
