Knittelfeld, Styria
On the trail of technological development in agriculture: The Museum of Agricultural Technology in Kobenz features 20 historic tractors, as well as engines and other agricultural equipment. The museum is located on the grounds of the Land- and Forestry Agricultural College. Guided tours are available upon request. A contact person can be found at the Land- and Forestry Agricultural College in the annex building. Accessibility has been taken into account as much as possible: there is a ramp with a 19 percent incline at the entrance of the museum. Unfortunately, the upper floor is only accessible via stairs or an unpaved outdoor path. An accessible toilet is available at the Land- and Forestry Agricultural College in the annex building. The accessible toilet is equipped with grab bars on both sides, the necessary maneuvering space to move comfortably in a wheelchair is provided, and the sink is accessible from a wheelchair. Information is provided in large, high-contrast print. The information panels are installed at a low height, making them easily viewable and readable for wheelchair users. A sturdy bench is available for resting.
