Motorik Park Gmunden

22 years ago, the Motorikpark in Gmunden's Auwald was a novelty because it differed significantly from other courses that primarily trained strength and endurance. Its creator, decathlon star and sports scientist Dr. Georg Werthner, designed the stations and exercises in such a way that they could primarily improve one's sense of balance and the fluidity of all conceivable movement sequences.After the hailstorm in June 2021, it was the city of Gmunden that renovated the aging circuit, inspected and secured damaged old trees, and even had to relocate parts of the course in some places. But since the beginning of October 2021, it is finally here: The Motorikpark with 17 largely new stations is usable again and invites to free autumnal exercise in the open air. The area has even become a little larger overall. The municipality spent almost 30,000 Euros on this.Accessibility:The Auwald is very quickly accessible from Gmunden city center both on foot and by bicycle.The city bus stops of line 512 "In der Au" and "Welfenstraße" are also very close.
