Mooskapelle in Grinzens

The Mooskapelle is idyllically situated in the fields north of the village of Grinzens and is a popular destination for hikers and walkers. Many stories are told about the small Mooskapelle; nobody knows exactly which of these legends is true. They tell of deep faith, seduction, despair, loyalty, love, and also of some wondrous events. In 1974, the Mooskapelle burned down and was rebuilt by the Grinzens Volunteer Fire Department. Today, it is still a very special spot where many people linger contemplatively and perhaps even make a wish or two. This unique and legendary chapel is also popular with all lovers. They simply enjoy the romantic spot without letting the wild stories disturb them.
