Millstätter Almstraße open again from May 1st. To the geographical center of the Millstätter Alpe. The toll road Millstätter Almstraße leads from Tschierweg, in the market town of Millstatt am See, to the final parking lot at the Schwaigerhütte. From there, the Millstätter Hütte and Alexanderhütte are each reachable on foot in 30 minutes. The 1.5-hour long and stroller-friendly Sonnwiesenrundweg connects all three refreshment stops. All three huts offer authentic hut cuisine, using exclusively regional products. With children, a visit to the petting zoo at the Millstätter Hütte is recommended. Couples in love start their hike to the Granattor on the "Weg der Liebe. Sentiero dell'amore.", at the Alexanderhütte. Tip: Connoisseurs can start the tour with a Nockmobil ascent and be picked up again at the nearest toll road after a half-crossing of the Millstätter Alpe.
