Late Gothic wall paintings in the Michaelskapelle The Michaelskapelle was built between 1430 and 1439 as an extension to the parish church. It served as a sacristy for approximately 250 years. During a later renovation, wall paintings were rediscovered and uncovered there. The frescoes mainly depict various saints and provide insight into late Gothic sacred art. According to available information, the paintings are considered extraordinary by experts. The Michaelskapelle can be visited during the opening hours of the parish church. Historical and art-historical guided tours of the parish church and the Michaelskapelle are possible by arrangement and registration through the parish office.
