The exhibition about Princess Melinda Esterházy shows the stages in the life of an extraordinary woman. Melinda Ottrubay began dancing as a common girl, celebrated an incomparable career at the Budapest Opera House, and finally married Prince Paul V. Esterházy.As a visitor, you experience Melinda Esterházy directly and authentically, not only at the opera but also from her private side. It offers insights into a life full of ups and downs, into an ambitious career, and into a private life away from the stage. Beyond the portrayal of a “fairy tale figure,” you get to know a strong personality who grew with her challenges.Room by room, you walk through the phases of Melinda Ottrubay's life as if in an opera. The closeness to the protagonist is present from the beginning – as a student and Prima Ballerina Assoluta – as well as to the later Princess Esterházy. The exhibition guides you through the life of the last princely couple, Melinda and Paul V. Esterházy, in five acts.
