The town fountain on the Historic Town Square of Grein, also called the Meggaubrunnen, dates back to 1872. The fountain was named after Count Leonhard Helfrich Meggau - he was the owner of Greinburg Castle. The citizens of Grein erected a stone monument to Count Meggau, who was socially committed to the people of Grein, on the town square.
