In the middle of the market square stands the octagonal market fountain with the years 1607 and 1716. The fountain formerly served the residents of the market as a public water collection point. Today, there is a basin with drinking water on the south side of the fountain. The fountain thus still invites visitors to a pleasant rest today. On both sides of the fountain, two plane trees were planted in 1898 on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the enthronement of Emperor Franz I. Josef. The impressive trees, with a trunk circumference of approx. 4.5 meters and a height of 25 meters, have been considered a natural monument since 1984.
