Marienkirche Steyr

At the end of the 1 5th century, Dominicans founded a monastery here, which was completely destroyed in the 16th century by floods and fire. In the middle of the 17th century, the monastery church received its early Baroque appearance. The rich interior decoration mainly shows Rococo as a style, but also forms of early and high Baroque. The church forecourt is adorned by two chapels with remarkable Passion groups: Christ on the Mount of Olives and Crucifixion.
