The Marienkapelle (Marian Chapel) is located at an altitude of 1850 meters next to the Gamskogelhütte and can be easily reached on foot or by bike via the "Herzerl-Weg" (the name of the trail from the Katschberg Pass to the Marienkapelle or Gamskogelhütte). The walk takes approximately 45 minutes. There is also the option to be transported by horse-drawn carriage or by the Gamskogel-Shuttle-Service. The chapel has been ecumenically consecrated since September 10, 2005 (Roman Catholic and Protestant) and belongs to the Catholic parish of Rennweg/St. Peter as well as the Protestant parish of Eistentratten. The entire maintenance is carried out by the chapel's builders, Mrs. Olga and her husband Werner Hoffmann, and the Gamskogel-Wirt (innkeeper) is responsible for opening and closing. The Marienkapelle can also be visited in winter.
