The church of St. Margarethen am Anger in the market town of Hall was first mentioned in 1298. However, the church, often referred to as "Church under the Seven Lime Trees", had existed for longer. Around 1280, St. Margarethen am Anger became a court and the location for the mayoral election. Due to its significance for civic life, the Margarethenkapelle became the emblem for the coat of arms granted to the town of Hall. You can visit the chapel at any time without prior registration.
