The Magdalenenkapelle of Baldersdorf is visible from afar on a rocky outcrop above the Drautal, east of the village of Baldersdorf. The chapel was first mentioned in a document in 1410, but according to archaeological investigations, the church is much older. During excavations, a small round church with a rock tomb was found, presumably the tomb of the church founder. In 1513, the church was completed in its current form and is now a filial church of Molzbichl. Every Easter Monday, the people of Molzbichl make a pilgrimage to the chapel to celebrate Holy Mass outdoors in front of the church with the men's choir. The church is consecrated to Saint Mary Magdalene, patron saint of women and sinners. Inside the church, stations of her life are depicted. In the immediate vicinity is the Museum Carantana with its significant early medieval finds.
