Märchenerzähler Helmut Wittmann

Upon Helmut Wittmann's application, UNESCO included storytelling in Austria in the directory of intangible cultural heritage. He usually tells stories in the Upper Austrian dialect, but also in High German at international festivals. In addition, there are also bilingual storytelling programs, playfully overcoming language barriers. With fairy tale evenings, legend hikes, fairy tale dinners, and seminars, he works on the revitalization of the Alpine storytelling tradition. On ORF, Helmut Wittmann hosts his monthly legendary hour on Radio Oberösterreich and Radio Salzburg.
