The Lünersee, once known as one of the largest natural mountain lakes in the Eastern Alps, lies at an altitude of almost 2,000 meters and forms the end of the Brandnertal valley. The nature around the lake offers many opportunities for families, mountain enthusiasts, and active people. As a starting point for hikes, including to the Schesaplana – the highest peak in the Rätikon –, for a walk around the lake, or for climbing tours. The crystal-clear lake also offers optimal conditions for fishermen.
