Everything worth knowing about the 1954 avalanche disaster in the Große Walsertal. The Avalanche Documentation Center is located in the Blons community center. In the exhibition about the 1954 avalanche disaster, you will learn interesting and valuable information about the catastrophe and about the measures taken to increase avalanche safety, using original reports and films. To commemorate the fiftieth anniversary of the avalanche disaster, three themed trails were established (Leusorgweg, Schutzwaldweg, and Verbauungsweg).
