Cross-country Skiing & Skating The landscape in the Mühlviertler Granitland offers an almost perfect mix for cross-country skiing. The hilly character regularly opens up to breathtaking views. Then the eye enjoys white mountain ranges that stretch to the horizon, where in the south the Alps rise in the far distance. As soon as Frau Holle shakes her pillows vigorously and the snow conditions allow, excellent trails are groomed for skaters and classic cross-country skiers. On varied circular routes, winter sports enthusiasts can glide gently and escape everyday life. No fee is charged for using the trails. We recommend entering the trail network at the BP gas station Stiglechner – ample parking spaces are available here.
