Lammerklamm Scheffau Raging waters, steep rock faces, deep gorges, and impressive views: visit the Lammerklamm in Scheffau! Experience the spectacle of light and water up close – secured paths and trails safely guide the whole family through the impressive gorge in the heart of the Tennengau. Long before the Ice Age, the Lammer carved a narrow valley into the mountain. As glaciers melted thousands of years ago, massive volumes of water flowed into the valley and gradually eroded the rock beneath – the Lammerklamm was formed. The gorge is an impressive example of the erosive power of water. Interested? Then delve even deeper into the history of the Lammerklamm! Since 1884, the Lammeröfen have been accessible to visitors.
