The Kunstraum Lakeside functions as a place where contemporary international art is produced and presented. Its program aims to foster critical discussions about socially relevant aspects of economics. It is located in the Lakeside Science & Technology Park in direct proximity to the University of Klagenfurt. Here, the Kunstraum operates at the intersection of economic, scientific, and cultural research directions, practices, and discourses. The main goal of Kunstraum Lakeside is to convey and confront different perspectives on common social structures. This is achieved through exhibitions, public art projects, lectures, discussions, film screenings, and publications. In addition, the Kunstraum cooperates with universities and other institutions to promote a transdisciplinary engagement with contemporary issues and to reach a broad public.
