Kugellärche an der Fötschlleiten

Within approximately one kilometer, there are several Kugellärchen (dwarf larches) in the border area between the municipalities of Thomatal and St. Margarethen. The one on Fötschlgrund has been under nature protection since April 29, 1936. These botanical rarities differ in their growth form from other larches. The crown has a spherical shape, giving the tree an unusual appearance.
