Neukirchen, Salzburg

Even smaller family toboggan runs invite you to enjoy the thrilling snow fun in the Wildkogel-Arena. If you do not own a toboggan, you have the option to reserve one at one of the many toboggan rentals in Neukirchen and Bramberg. If you need general or current information about tobogganing, we have set up a toboggan hotline for you. To ensure everything runs smoothly while tobogganing, here are some practical toboggan tips. We wish you a great ride on our toboggan runs! TOBOGGAN RULES Please only stop and wait in the designated waiting zones, never in the curve areas. Cross the toboggan run only at clear, visible spots. During high traffic, the track may develop pronounced waves; we ask you to adjust your speed to the track conditions. Always hold your toboggan by the loop to avoid unnecessary danger to your fellow tobogganers and to prevent losing your toboggan. To enjoy the ride properly, appropriate clothing is necessary. We especially recommend ski goggles, scarf, hat, ski pants or gaiters, gloves, sturdy boots — no ski boots. Children up to and including 6 years old should ride on their parents' toboggans! Tip: Wearing a helmet while tobogganing is even safer! Be considerate of other toboggan users. Behave in a way that does not endanger or harm others. Alcohol impairs your driving behavior. Substances reduce reaction ability and proper risk assessment. Tobogganing on ski slopes is dangerous and prohibited. No dogs! Four-legged friends must stay at home during the toboggan fun due to the high risk of collisions. Controlled descent! Descend visually and with sufficient distance from other tobogganers. Adjust your speed and driving style to your skill, traffic density, and conditions. Observe closures and warning signs. Ski helmet requirement in Austria: Minors up to the age of 15 must wear a commercially available winter sports helmet when skiing or tobogganing as part of winter sports activities. Guardians and supervisors are responsible for ensuring compliance within their capabilities. The helmet must also be worn when riding other winter sports equipment such as ski bobs or toboggans on groomed pistes. The helmet requirement is enforced in the federal state of Salzburg; controls are not legislated, and there will be no penalties for guardians if a child does not wear a helmet. It is only made clear how dangerous skiing or snowboarding without a helmet can be for children. Violating the helmet requirement could cause problems with insurance in case of an accident, which might refuse to cover the costs. It is advisable for children, teenagers, and even adults to equip themselves with a helmet (which can also be rented at all ski rental shops or ski schools, subject to availability), as most ski accidents involve serious head injuries. Wearing a helmet can reduce the risk of severe head injuries.
