Kremayrhaus Stadtmuseum Rust

The imposing burgher house from 1675 stands at the highest point of the beautiful city center of Rust. The last owner Rudolf Kremayr - co-founder of the well-known Donauland publishing house - renovated this house and, together with his large art collection, handed it over to the Free City of Rust in a foundation in 1986. Furthermore, the house showcases Rust's city history with the city charter, the executioner's sword, and much more. The wine cellar of the house presents the best wines from the Free City of Rust and the twin city Tokaji. Various exhibitions and events take place in the idyllic inner courtyard and in the wine cellar.
