The Söchau football club was founded in 1964 by Erich Sammer, Dr. Georg Silbert, Hans Wilfling, Kurt Kagerer and Gernot Gollop. After Erich Sammer, Hans Wilfling took over as chairman. Under his leadership, the team was promoted to the Unterliga Süd in 1972. In 2004, the new Kräuterdorfstadion was built with great diligence and commitment. In the Thermen- & Vulkanland, the Kräuterdorfstadion Söchau is a special highlight. Here, exercise, nature experience and regionality meet – perfect for active athletes, families and fans. The stadium is easily accessible and also offers space for breaks, conversations and enjoying nature. After a football match, visit the Söchau herb display garden and enjoy regional specialties at the nearby Kräuterkaffee Wilfling.
