The quick accessibility, the perfect infrastructure (parking lots, swimming lake, restaurants, bus) as well as the short approach and the indescribable view of the lake district and the Lower Inn Valley make the Reintalersee Via Ferrata something very special. Indeed, it is one of the most beautiful via ferratas in Tyrol! Two routes with a rope length of approx. 250 running meters were built: Route 1, with a difficulty level of C/D, and Route 2, a sport via ferrata variant "E", which is very attractive for athletic via ferrata climbers due to its steepness. The access path starts slightly east of the bus stop "Kramsach Parkplatz Halbinsel". 20 minutes through the forest to the belay point and further to the entry point. Tip: Shortly before the entry point, take a detour to the beautiful waterfall to recharge your strength and energy and enjoy the view. This time is essential, because the Reintalersee Via Ferrata is generally more for connoisseurs, as it impresses with: great views from the wall of the lake district + Lower Inn Valley recharging energy at the beautiful waterfall near the entry point after returning from the via ferrata, you can end the day at the lake The descent path leads for approx. 1 hour, first over a forest path, then over the existing hiking trail "Bärengrube" to the Krummsee and further back to the Reintalersee. Important notes on the Reintalersee Via Ferrata: Please observe the current recommendations from the Alpine Club for the use of via ferratas! A dedicated via ferrata folder is available in the tourist offices of the Alpbachtal region. Please note that the necessary via ferrata safety equipment (helmet, via ferrata set, harness, sturdy footwear) is required for climbing a via ferrata. Climbing is at your own risk. Via ferrata set rental is available at the Kramsach tourist office and at Sport Ossi in Kramsach. Guided tours may only be conducted by state-certified mountain guides. The via ferrata is closed from October 1st until Good Friday each year. To maintain the quiet zone and out of consideration for the feeding time of wild animals, the winter closure must be strictly observed and respected! Subject to change!
