Best time of day/year: "The" winter wall of the Ennstal, sun until approximately 3:30 PM in December. Due to its southwest orientation, it is often too hot for climbing in late spring.Rock quality: Fantastic rough limestone with countless, sometimes very small, ledges. Climbing is often more boulder-heavy.Atmosphere: Southern ambiance with a fantastic view of the Haller Mauern and Gesäuse. Overall very photogenic. Unfortunately, the access terrain, especially in the left, upper part of the wall, is somewhat uncomfortable.Approach: From Hackerbauer, first follow the path towards Hackermauer, but continue on the hiking trail and over a steep, stony section to a pulpit with a left turn. Now continue for about 200 meters on the hiking trail until you see the Nußwand on the upper left. Follow barely visible trail traces to the wall. Walking time: 10 to 15 minutes.Distance: From Losenstein approx. 2.3 km | approx. 5 minutes driving timeImportant notes: Caution with children, the base of the wall in the left, upper part is prone to falls. Turn left before the cemetery and then right at the next fork. In 2 km you will reach the parking lot (on the left side) at the junction of the access road to Hackerbauer.
