Rock quality: Rauhwacke***Vertical to strongly overhanging pocket climbing.Atmosphere: Belay stations are extensively terraced. For decades, Langenstein has been the training rock for ambitious local sport climbers due to its steep, athletic routes. In recent years, easier routes have also been developed in the peripheral areas.Distance: 15 min. from Steyr (via Oberdambach), 10 min. from Losenstein.Important notes: 4 new routes above the route Steinbeisser, named a, b, c, d – Attention, not included in the topo.Coming from Steyr, KM sign 26.0 (small blue sign on the right side of the road), turn left towards Oberdambach (separate turning lane) – sign Camp Sibley. From there 7 kilometers – sign Camp Sibley, from there a bit further, park in the 180-degree curve. Approx. 6 parking spaces are in the 180-degree curve between Langenstein and Camp Sibley. If all parking spaces are full, go a bit down the road – there are 10 more parking spaces on the left side here.
