Kirchenburg St. Oswald und Mesnerturm

The fortified church of St. Oswald has a long history dating back to 1190. After several additions and alterations to the fortified church complex, the two lower floors of the defensive tower of the outwork now house the freely accessible show depot, open since 2020. The exhibition on the lower floor showcases the life, work, and traditions of the miners. The upper floor provides insight into heaven: into the piety of the Baroque era with the former Baroque church furnishings of St. Oswald. In addition to visually unique exhibits, the multimedia exhibition offers visitors very personal insights into the lives of the miners.
