Kirche Scharnstein

Due to the constant influx of population to Scharnstein because of the metal industry, the desire for a church in Scharnstein was already expressed around 1912. In 1941, a chaplaincy was founded, with services initially taking place in the castle chapel. The parish church was built between 1953 and 1956 according to plans by Hans Foschum. The artistic interior design and the altar are by the sculptor Sepp Moser from Neukirchen bei Altmünster. The church was consecrated on October 7, 1956.
