Kirche in Kreith

The church is more modern than many other sacred buildings in the villages of the Innsbruck region. It presents an interesting contrast to Gothic architecture and Baroque towers, and showcases the architectural style of the 1920s. In place of an older chapel, the Herz-Jesu Kirche was built in 1924 according to the plans of Innsbruck architect Max Thaler. The murals and stained-glass windows date from 1926 - designed by Ernst Nepo in the style of "New Objectivity".
