Kirche "Heilige Anna" Thermengemeinde Bad Blumau

The parish of Bad Blumau has included the filial church in Jobst, dedicated to St. Anna, since 1787. The imposing church building was erected starting in 1741 on the site of a 16th-century chapel. The plans were most likely by the Pöllau master builder Remigius Horner. On the altar, there is a sculptural group of St. Anna with the Child Mary. The last renovation took place in autumn 1998. The exterior of the individual apses is structured by Tuscan pilasters and eight large rectangular windows; the northern and southern conches also have doors below the windows. The sacristy building is located between the southern conch and the choir apse. The floor plan shows a central, square main room, to which conches are attached on four sides. The sculptural representations of the three altarpieces – Christ on the high altar, God the Father and the Holy Spirit on the two side altars – allude to the Holy Trinity.
