The Leutascher Katzenkopf is located not far from the Leutasch village center and slightly south of the small hamlet of Seewald. This popular year-round excursion destination is easily accessible by public regional transport (Weidach Kreithkapelle stop) – those who prefer to come by car will find ample parking at the lift station. In winter, cross-country skiers with equipment and a valid cross-country skiing ticket can travel free of charge to the starting point of the B15 Höhenloipe Leutasch Wildmoos. Cross-country skiing tip: The spectacular Katzenkopf-Runde connects the picturesque Leutaschtal, the Wildmoos plateau, and the Katzenkopf to a particularly spectacular cross-country skiing circuit of over 22 kilometers for classic and skating. During the winter months, the Katzenkopf also offers a varied family ski area with almost ten perfectly groomed kilometers of slopes for all demands. On selected days, the ski run is also illuminated for sparkling night rides. Away from the cross-country trails and slopes, the wintery Katzenkopf also offers a spectacular natural toboggan run; suitable toboggans can be rented at the valley station if needed. Alternatively, beautiful winter hiking trails also start at the cozy Katzenkopfhütte at the summit, leading through snowy forest sections to Wildmoos, Seefeld, and Mösern. In summer, the versatile Bikepark Katzenkopf also promises a very special thrill – with various flow and single trails as well as its own uphill trail. Suitable high-tech equipment can be rented at the valley station, and introductory and riding technique courses with real trail professionals are also available there. Fancy speed, curves, and lots of fun? The summer toboggan run “Wildcat” is a real highlight in the summer paradise Katzenkopf Leutasch. Over 1,200 meters, it goes rapidly through waves, turns, and steep sections – always accompanied by the impressive panorama of the Tyrolean mountains. The “Wildcat” provides adrenaline, action, and good mood for the whole family. Accurate visitors can also try their hand at the DiscGolfPark around the Katzenkopfhütte. Use is free, frisbees can be rented in advance at the valley station. The cozy Katzenkopfhütte at the summit of the idyllic Leutasch family mountain offers a spectacular panoramic view over the Leutaschtal and the surrounding mountain peaks. Outside there is a small mountain playground with a climbing tower, swing, and rainbow slides, inside a cozy parlor with a tiled stove for cold days.
