The first documented mention of the church dates back to 1240. Particularly impressive is the baroque high altar from the second half of the 17th century, whose altarpiece depicts the Holy Family. The church houses an extensive and artfully preserved treasure of Gothic wall paintings depicting scenes from the life of Mary, the Passion of Christ, the Last Judgment, angelic music, and numerous saints. In addition, the uniform early Baroque figural decoration is a highlight worth seeing.
