On October 24, 1959, the foundation stone for the construction of the Catholic church was laid by Bishop DDr. Köstner. In the following year, on November 5 and 6, the solemn consecration of the church took place. The new church was dedicated to Saint Joseph, the patron saint of workers.Planned and built under architect Hans Jakob Lill from Munich, it represents an architectural style that was common in the 60s and 70s. The statue of Mary inside the church, restored in 1999, came from the parish church of Globasnitz in Lower Carinthia in 1960. After the completion of all renovation work on the interior and exterior in 2000, the church now shines in new splendor. In 2006, a mosaic depicting Joseph, the foster father, was designed by the confirmation group at the time and installed at the entrance on the tower side.
