Flachau, Salzburg
The single-nave Baroque church, consecrated on September 8, 1722, stands on a small hillock in the center of Flachau. The altar painting inside is particularly remarkable. It was created in 1722 by the artist Johann Michael Rottmayr and depicts Mary on the crescent moon. Due to this artwork and the unique construction, visitors admire the Flachau parish church even outside of service times. Of course, the church in Flachau is also offered as a perfect wedding venue for ceremonies.
