The Romanesque church is consecrated to a special martyr, St. Margaret, who was beheaded in the 4th century after severe torture. The brave defender of faith can be seen as a statue inside and on the remains of a mural on the outer wall. Here she fights against a dragon, which symbolizes the devil. Right next to St. Margaret, St. Catherine can be seen, a martyr who was first tortured on a breaking wheel and then also beheaded. As a statue, she stands at the late Baroque altar next to another martyr, St. Barbara.
