Kammerlanderhof

IMPORTANT NOTE: Due to renovation work, the Kammerlanderhof will not be open during summer 2026! Guided tours every Monday from 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM, admission € 5.00. The association "s' Kammerland - Kulturinitiative Thurn" was founded in 2001 and has since been dedicated to the renovation and maintenance of the 500-year-old, listed Stubenhaus, which, in its authenticity, represents a unique rural cultural heritage. Through the restoration measures of the interiors, facades, and balconies, as well as the wooden shingling of the roof and the reconstruction of the Bauerngartl (farm garden), the Kammerlanderhof has regained its authentic appearance. In summer (from mid-June to mid-September), the house is open to visitors every Monday from 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Particularly worth seeing are the original smoke kitchen, the granary with old tools and grain chests, and the small sleeping chamber with furniture from the turn of the century around 1900. In the attic, the themed exhibition (cobbler's workshop, Machlkammer, linen production and processing) provides insights into historical rural craftsmanship. The Stube is also used as a cozy center for social gatherings and smaller events, such as poetry readings.
