Jakobsbrunnen

A descendant of the Rechbergers, who had their ancestral castle in Ried near Kremsmünster, once killed his older brother in a dispute behind the high altar of the Ried church, without regard for the sanctity of the space. He then fled to Grünau, where he lived as a hermit by the Jakobsbrunnen. However, his relatives tracked him down and he was tortured and finally broken on the wheel.
