Innsbrucker Kellertheater

The actors and the artistic staff are freelancers based in Tyrol and the surrounding area, as well as guests from German-speaking countries. Behind the stage, there is also a professional and idealistic team to successfully create the Kellertheater productions. The "Summer Boulevard Comedies", introduced in 1995, have become a fixed part of Innsbruck's cultural life in summer. In the course of a season, 5 to 6 plays are produced, always focusing on one requirement: to combine sophisticated entertainment and thought, pleasure and enlightenment. The playbill promotes engagement with both contemporary dramas and classical works, with adaptations of classical templates having become a "specialty" of the Kellertheater.
