Josef Hutter Sen. decided to build his own outdoor pool, as the nearest bathing facility seemed unreachable at the time. In 1959, the Hutter forest pool opened its doors and has been known as "Hutterbod" ever since. Meanwhile, the Hutter family - in its third generation - operates a public outdoor pool, an inn, an apartment house, and a campsite.The outdoor pool is a swimming biotope with spring water of drinking quality without any chemical additives. The very good water quality is maintained through movement, the construction of waterfalls, a stream with bank vegetation that functions as a biological sewage treatment plant, and the use of Grander technology.The natural product water in all its life forms is to be brought closer to the youngest in particular. But fun is not neglected. On the 54-meter-long water slide, at the diving tower, on the bouldering wall, and on the shaded playground, children can romp to their heart's content.
