The Hüttendorf (hut village) features 9 alpine huts, which are also available for rent. One of the huts, the Hansalhütte, is operated from mid-May to mid-October. From the end of the valley to the Landawierseehütte, an Alpenverein (Alpine Club) hut with overnight accommodation, it takes approximately 1.5 hours to walk. The Landwierseehütte serves as a starting point for interesting mountain tours, such as the Hochgolling, which at 2,862 meters is the highest mountain of the Niedere Tauern. Wander description to Göriacher Hüttendorf: The Göriacher Hüttendorf is located about 7 km behind the village of Göriach. It can be reached by car, bike, or on foot via the only well-maintained road. From the last parking lot, it is only a 5-minute walk to the hut village. The Winkelweg (angle path) is closed from approximately early October to mid-May.
