Here, at the beginning (or end?) of the Apple Road, stands an unusual building. The Apfelschlössl (Apple Castle) somewhat resembles a lighthouse by the sea and overlooks the rolling hills of the region. Not nearly as old as the name suggests, this fire station, including its associated café, was built in the late 90s, designed by the painter Karl Hodina.
