Location: In Oberschaden, on the road from Eferding to Taubenbrunn, at the turn-off to Wallehner, Oberschaden No. 20.Description: A rectangular granite stone, rounded at the top, with a raised cross. The stone, which originally stood at house Oberschaden No. 22, is supposedly a Passau boundary stone of unknown age. Over time, a legend developed around this stone and it was given the new name "Devil's or Wedding Stone". The legend tells that the devil once took the soul of a newlywed woman here nearby because, in her exuberance after the wedding feast, she cleaned her shoes with a breadcrumb and danced the first dance not with her husband, but with a foreign knight.Text from "Kleindenkmäler in den Gemeinden Eferding, Fraham, Hinzenbach und Pupping", published by the Kulturverein Heimatbund Eferding, Photo: Heimatbund.
