Hl.-Geist-Kirche

Hl.-Geist-Kirche

Lechaschau, Tyrol

The predecessor church dated from the end of the 15th century. In 1964, a new building was constructed according to Ingo Feßler's design, incorporating the Gothic choir. The new building, with a rectangular floor plan, saddle roof, and simply designed tower with a tent roof, features an entrance front with glazed doors. Along the long sides of the nave are high-set window bands. The stained-glass windows were created in 2006 by Patricia Karg. In the former choir, which now serves as a side chapel, there is a ceiling fresco created around 1772/74 depicting the veneration of the Holy Spirit, attributed to Johann Jakob Zeiller.
