Herz-Jesu-Kirche

The basilica was built according to plans by Hilde von Baravalle and Max Wochinz in 1951/52 as the Holy Heart of Jesus Peace and Reconciliation Church and stands in the Neo-Romanesque tradition of the early 20th century. It has been a parish since 1964. The mighty tower to the side of the entrance is visible from afar. Inside, the long building has a flat ceiling and creates a bright, spacious impression. The chancel is straight-closed. Wall paintings by Peter Brandstätter on the altar wall and ceiling paintings (Christian symbols) by Hilde von Baravalle from 1952. Dates for Holy Masses
