The areas of folk and culture will be roughly divided into three sections: wood, textiles, and customs. These areas will be developed and expanded with aspects that go beyond the major themes and bring us closer to the culture of the rural population. We will celebrate the start of the 2024 museum season with the presentation of a work by the Carinthian artist Ulrich Plieschnig as part of the special exhibition "en miniature," a format that primarily presents artists from Carinthia in the Deutsch-Griffen Local History Museum. Following this, three festive lectures will take place, dedicated to the topic of wood and covering the sub-areas of timber construction, wood architecture, and fire protection. The speakers are Peter Anderwald, Daphne M. Gerzabek, and Fritz Klaura.
