As the name of the museum already suggests, the focus of this collection is on the systematic presentation of the estates, i.e. the farmers and craftsmen in Tragöß. The small building in the center of the village, belonging to Gasthof zur Post, was established as a museum in 1990. In addition to models of the Kalvarienberg Chapel and the church in Pichl, the ground floor shows the life, living, and work of farmers up to the early 20th century. The good parlor and smoke kitchen feel as if they have just been left. In 2000, the previously unused bedroom was also set up as an exhibition room. The upper floor, accessible from the outside, shows a clearly structured cross-section of the crafts and trades of the Tragösser Valley. The work situations of farmers, shoemakers, tailors, coopers, carpenters, blacksmiths, and flax breakers are largely vividly recreated. Here there are also insights into forestry and hunting, which are important in this valley end. A lumberjack's hut is also reconstructed in a small space, and the tools of the lumberjacks are also exhibited. The mill wheel in the entrance area is a testament to the rich mill landscape here in the Graben. Unfortunately, not a single one of these mills is still preserved. However, there is a reconstructed mill at a private fish farm, which can be visited upon request.
