Where today the well-known fashion house Kastner & Öhler stands in Fürstenfeld, there used to be a barracks – including a large parade ground. Nothing reminds of this time today, because since 2021 the newly designed Marienbrunnen (Mary's Fountain) provides summery magic. The fountain on the main square is now a highlight of the city and offers a multimedia experience for all senses in the summer months. At dusk, the square transforms into a stage for: colorful water fountains, rhythmically dancing light shows, and atmospheric music compositions. In time with the melodies, the fountains rise meters high into the sky and, together with changing light colors, create a fascinating atmosphere. Each show is a small work of art that delights young and old alike. The Marienbrunnen is not only a place to marvel, but also a popular meeting point – perfect after a visit to the thermal spa or a stroll through the historic city center.
